The AUP Library is delighted to invite all members of the AUP community to an evening with the first female Yemenite film maker, writer and civil rights activist Khadija Al Salami.

Acclaimed film director and writer, Al Salami has been awarded the French Legion of Honour and recently won the top prize at the Dubai Film Festival. She was named one of the 100 most Influential Arab women in the world by Arabian Business in 2012 and 2013, and The Monitor named her #2 in their list of the top 50 People Shaping the Culture of the Middle East.

There will be a screening of her movie "Killing her is a ticket to Paradise" followed by a Q&A discussion led by professors Anne-Marie Picard and Nathalie Debroise

More details and any last-minute info on the Facebook event. Refreshments and food will be served afterwards.

We hope to see you all there!
