AR1020 Materials and Techniques of the Masters
IL1010 Elementary Italian I
Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance, is rightfully considered one of the greatest cultural centers of the world. This trip consists of two separate groups:
AR 1020: Visits to numerous churches, (the Santissima Annunziata, the Ospedale degli Innocenti, the Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, etc.), and museums (the Bargello, the Accademia) as well as visits to the town hall and major palaces, introduce students to the extraordinary number of artistic treasures contained in this small city.

IL 1010: Discover Pisa, its leaning tower and national museum. Proceed by train to Florence to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria Novella, Giotto’s Campanile, the Baptistery, Dante’s house, and the Uffizi. For three days we walk through the past of Michelangelo, Dante, Petrarca, and Machiavelli and roots of modern Italian culture.
