SC1080 Animal Behavior

This course explores how and why animals, including humans, behave the way they do. Topics include natural selection; the interplay between genes and the environment; learning; the influence of neurons and hormones on behavior; foraging; mating; cooperation; communication; and social behavior. In the labs, students will use the scientific method to carry out lab- and field-based research projects. *Lab required. Please note that an additional fee will be charged for this course.
