Born in 1989 in France, Clément Schneider studied filmmaking at La fémis (National French Film School) where he graduated in 2013. Then, he founded a production company, in order to produce independant films – narratives and documentaries. In 2018, his first feature film A violent desire for joy was selected in ACID Cannes. He also wrote a thesis within the frame of a research-creation PhD in Paris Sciences et Lettres University: « On the other hand cinema is a utopia ». Now, he teaches cinema and continues directing and producing films. His work is regularly shown in film festivals.
