Stress Management and Mindfulness Workshop

University Room: David T. McGovern Grand Salon (C-104)
Monday, November 23, 2015 - 18:30 to 20:30

Following the recent events in Paris, we would like to help you make sense of your reactions and be in a capacity to feel OK. What happened on November 13th may have pushed you out of your comfort zone, whether you were in Paris or not. There is no correct or incorrect way of responding. What is important is that you have your response and it is personal. It is essential to attend to this personal response.

We encourage everyone to attend this special workshop to help you cope in this time of crisis. Let’s come together as a community to heal.

How can you cope with stress in the midst of a crisis?

How does stress affect your mind and body?

This interactive workshop will explore these questions by way of a presentation and discussion with Dr. Chloe Menon, clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist in the community, and a direct practice of mindfulness relaxation techniques.
