Two session Master Class: Producing An Independent Feature

Jordan Mintzer, producer, screenwriter and Paris correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter, has served on juries at Cannes and Cinema du Reel. 

In this master class Jordan Mintzer (producer, screenwriter and Paris correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter) will walk students step by step from script, casting, production, funding, festivals, press and distribution– using the case study of his award-winning Sollers Point (which the New Yorker named one of the best films of 2018!). 

In this two session masterclass - students will read the script, learn about casting, raising money for production, look at pre-production art boards then tales from the set, navigating festival offers, distribution offers and managing press and critical attention. All of this guided by the producer who was there shepherding the process from script through release. This is an invaluable training not easily found – with real production materials, budgets, etc.
