VIRTUAL EVENT

Empowering Solo Travelers with Adriana Smith Presented by ReSisters and Black and Abroad

Monday, February 8, 2021 - 18:00 to 19:00

ReSisters and Black and Abroad will host a talk with Adriana Smith where they will discuss female solo travel and more specifically the experience of black female solo travelers. AUP has a great mixture of solo travel experts and solo travel newbies.

Adriana Smith’s travel journey started when she was 20 years old. While she lived and traveled in Spain as a college student, her emotions and experiences ran the gauntlet from excitement to fear to homesickness and everything in between. Her experience wasn’t what Youtube had told her. Yet, she thrived.

Adriana is the Travel Strategist and CEO of Travepreneur, the digital platform empowering new travelers with the confidence to see the world so that they can make a local and global impact in the most cost-effective way. She is also the author of “Studying Abroad for Black Women.”

Adriana has been featured in over a dozen media outlets, including USA Today, Essence, SELF, Hello Giggles, Mic, and Cheapism. She has been there and seen it all. If your students want to get out there too, experience new things, and see new places, and most importantly become more successful on campus and beyond, then Adriana will teach you all of it.
