The Teaching and Learning Center and the Schaeffer Center are organizing a workshop for AUP faculty and staff about the use of the Visual History Archive and the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies.
We will be talking about the history of both archives as well as the use of testimony in classroom settings or in the library. The workshop will discuss how to best navigate the archives to facilitate successful research, and lead discussions on how testimony can meaningfully be integrated into class curriculums and education. The event will also include discussions regarding the use of testimony in research, the use of visual learning sources, and how to deal with violent topics in class.
