The American University of Paris and the London College of Fashion are excited to announce The Symposium on Fashion Communication for Socio-Ecological Transformation, a hybrid conference taking place at the AUP campus in Paris on Saturday, 20th of April, 2024. The symposium is designed to bring together key and emerging players in forming the field to create connections in this emerging sector across education, the third sector and the fashion industry. Our goal is to bring together students and professionals in this urgent, emerging field to form connections, share work that will inspire and lead practice, and create a shared repository of resources.

The Symposium will include panel discussions, workshops, networking opportunities and the presentation of selected work from the winners of our student competition for proposals demonstrating an innovation in the field. We aim to create a dynamic, interactive, and de-hierarchical atmosphere of co-learning and a community of thinkers. A variety of contributors and angles are invited to expand our ideas of futures in this field. The event will provide a unique and timely space for participants to engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, and foster creative and professional partnerships.

Confirmed contributors include:

  • Rachel Arthur, head of Sustainable Fashion at the United Nations Environmental Programme
  • Aditi Mayer, Storyteller & Consultant
  • Louise Xin, renowned international EU Sakharov fellow and Fashion Activist
  • Victoire Satto, CEO and founder of The Good Goods

and many more...
