Celebrating Faculty Achievement in a Year Like No Other

AUP’s Faculty Achievements Brochure is an annual publication that captures the breadth and quality of faculty scholarship across the University. It gathers all the books, articles, workshops, conferences, awards, collaborations and media appearances by AUP professors over the past year. The work of AUP professors goes far beyond the classroom, traversing cultural and intellectual borders through student–faculty collaboration, in-depth research and fieldwork, and attendance of international conferences. 

This 2020 edition is particularly notable given the unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Faculty needed to pivot to remote teaching and learning across the University in a matter of weeks. This additional teaching effort makes the scale of achievement on display in the brochure even more impressive. The lessons learned from adapting to new, online approaches will carry over into future scholarship at the University, as AUP’s legacy of engaged faculty research continues, expertly addressing contemporary global issues.
