Take the opportunity to learn about prewar Jewish life in Poland, the tracesthe Holocaust in Warsaw and the contemporary debates on Holocaustmemory taking place in Poland. Visit the vestige of Jewish Warsaw (includingits large cemetery), the places of Jewish persecutions in the Polish capital, theextermination site at Treblinka and one of the small towns outside Warsawwhich were renowned for their vivid Jewish life and institutions. Visit olderHolocaust memorials and the recently opened Museum of the History ofPolish Jews built on site of the former Warsaw ghetto. During the trip, focuson the various forms of visible memorialization, and their absence, in orderto better understand the political and social evolution of the Polish memoryof the extermination of the Jews.
