Mandatory MFA Implementation for VPN Access - Configuration Applied

Home>IT Services>News>

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully implemented a new security configuration on our VPN servers. This update requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when connecting to the VPN.

As previously mentioned, the MFA for VPN supports the Authenticator App and Phone Call Authentication, but not SMS.

Thank you to those who have already switched to the Authenticator App. On Wednesday morning, we transitioned all remaining users from SMS to Phone Call Authentication.

If you wish to switch to the Authenticator App, please refer to the FAQ section at the following link:

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) | The American University of Paris (aup.edu)

Alternatively, you can contact ITS for assistance.

For those continuing with Phone Call Authentication, ensure you whitelist the phone number +1 855-330-8653 in your phone settings or any CallerID spam blocker app to avoid issues with receiving calls.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the IT support team at itservicesataup.edu

Thank you for your cooperation.
