Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues, I hope this message finds you well. As we embark on a new academic year, it is with great pleasure that I reach out to you today to provide an update on the ongoing IRIS project, an initiative that is pivotal to enhancing the AUP experience for our entire community, including for you, my faculty and staff colleagues. In 2020, we embarked on this ambitious journey, outlined in the 2020-23 strategic plan, to revamp and modernize our university's data and application portfolio. The IRIS project isn't merely a set of isolated tasks; it's a multi-year program of reinvention and re-calibration, in which we constantly adapt to the rapid technological shifts and evolving organizational needs. As we move forward, our objective remains clear: to remove obstacles and inconveniences for you, our faculty and staff, as well as for students and families, ultimately making AUP a better place for all. Finally, in our ongoing commitment to transparency, we're pleased to share recent IRIS project developments since the semester began. These updates offer a snapshot of our collective progress. Staying informed about IRIS is vital in grasping its transformative impact on our university.
• We decided to delay the launch of the financial and human resources systems to the end of the calendar year so that we could make sure they were ready. We know we will still find problems, but we wanted them to roll out smoothly.
• We are bringing the financial aid system, PowerFAIDS, online in the coming month in time to manage spring term awards.
• We are committing to the launch of Creatrix Campus, the student information system, for Fall 2024, which should bring some much-needed functionality for faculty, students, and staff.
Your engagement is vital to the success of the IRIS project. Thank you for your ongoing support, patience, and dedication to making AUP an even better place to learn, work, and grow. We look forward to sharing these exciting updates with you on a monthly basis.
