Volunteer Your Time

Alumni, former students, parents and friends who love AUP and would like to help out with AUP’s engagement efforts in their own time are invited to join our roster of AUP’s alumni representatives. Some ways our alumni representatives can support AUP include:

• Hosting or helping organize an AUP alumni get-together in your city, with support from AUP’s Office of Outreach and Advancement
• Being a social media ambassador: posting, sharing and promoting AUP activities around the world
• Helping us update out records so we can contact your alumni friends and classmates who we’re not in touch with
• Reaching out to your classmates to share AUP news and events.

Every year, alumni mentors partner with current AUP students to help them develop the essential professional skills they will need after they graduate. You can find out more about the career mentoring program here.

We’re always thrilled when our alumni come back to campus and share their experience and expertise with students, whether by sitting on a panel to offer students feedback on their GPS Design Your Narrative speeches, or by guest-lecturing a course or module. There are many opportunities for short-term volunteer engagement with direct student contact and impact. The PAAC draws upon the considerable talents of a select group of alumni who have shown an interest in greater involvement with AUP. The mission of the PAAC is to support the University and advance its interests; to act as a sounding board for the President and a conduit from alumni to the University; and to provide support for AUP’s alumni engagement, recruitment and advancement efforts.
