Susan Perry (History & Politics): Human Rights and Digital Technology: civic engagement with the United Nations
This pedagogical research aimed to enhance student engagement with the UN Human Rights Council in the form of regular student-faculty submissions on human rights and digital technology. Pedagogical innovation generated by this project will inform a book chapter in a forthcoming, co-authored volume on digital technology and higher education. This research project aims to transform the courses International Human Rights Law and Human Rights and Digital Technology in such a way as to enhance our students’ use of digital tools to fully participate in global civil society and to interact directly with the UN Human Rights Council via their digital platform.
