AUP will be hosting Dr. Athina Karatzogianni - Senior Lecturer Media and Communication University of Leicester and Visiting Research Scholar, Global Communications Department, American University of Paris on Wednesday April 20th at 7 PM in C-102.
The lecture topic is Firebrand Waves of Digital Activism 1994-2014. Kindly find event flyer attached.
Dr. Karatzogianni bio: After brief stints as a journalist in Athens in 1995-6 and teaching International Relations in Nottingham as a PhD student between 2001-5, Karatzoginni's first post was in 2006 in Paris at AUP as an Assistant Professor in Global Communications. Love for the UK research environment brought her back to Hull in 2007 as a Lecturer in Media, Culture & Society in Humanities. In 2011, she became a Senior Lecturer, & in 2013, Karatzogianni transferred to Social Sciences, restructured and directed media programs. In July 2014, she took a post as a Senior Lecturer in Media and Communications at the University of Leicester.
