Inspire Africa movie night

University Room: Pierre Salinger Grand Salon (C-103)
Friday, October 27, 2017 - 18:30 to 20:30

As of today, Rwanda has one of the fastest growing economies in Africa and its capital city, Kigali, is Africa's cleanest city. Though Rwanda is at the top of the charts today, this was not always the case. Only 23 years ago, Rwanda experienced one of the deadliest genocides in the world. From April 7, 1994, to July 1994, approximately 1,000,000+ lives were lost to a genocidal mass slaughter of the Tutsi. In remembrance of the lives lost and in ADMIRATION of what Rwanda has become today, AUP club Inspire Africa will be screening 'Hotel Rwanda'; a film nominated for 3 Oscars, 2 Golden Globes, 43 other nominations & 16 wins. We invite you to come and enjoy some popcorn, drinks, and a master piece of film.
