CL1091FB6 Modern to Contemporary in the Arab World
This trip, focused on Cairo, one of the largest, oldest, and most important cities in the Arab world, complements classroom study of the contemporary Middle East. It introduces students to the history and development of the city and its architecture, with visits to cultural institutions, media institutions and NGOs helping them to understand contemporary events in the Arab world. The trip includes a visit to AUP sister institution the American University in Cairo and opportunities to interact with Arab student peers.

Cost: €1150 (includes round-trip air transportation, hotel accommodations w/ breakfast, on-site public transportation, entrance fees, guided visits, professor’s trip costs, and VAT)
