Since Antiquity, Rome has captured both artists’ and historians’ imaginations. From Poussin to Gibbon, the city’s rise and fall have inspired the greatest artists of Europe and its most prominent historians, the monuments left in the wake of the Empire and Renaissance and the political, cultural and legal heritage of the eternal city will nourish our visit with historical walking tours in the morning and drawing and individual study projects in the afternoon. Expect to leave Thursday afternoon and return on Sunday evening.
