How are you going to spend the 3€ left in your pocket? Refreshing AriZona cold tea drink? Croissant or latte on the go? Granted - these are good. But how about contributing to a child’s education?
Upon Al-Salami’s visit, the Library has been fundraising to support her NGO – My Future Foundation in Yemen – and all the proceeds will be given to Ms. Al-Salami herself on the night of April 2nd.
Thanks to the bake sales in March, 4 more girls will have the chance to stay in school.
As some generous donors have offered nice gifts – nomad chargers for smartphones, lunch tickets etc. – we have decided to organize a raffle. The draw will take place at the end of the semester in May.
Tickets are 3€ each, 5€ for two, for sale at the Service Desk as well as on April 2nd during the evening. “Stop Child Brides” silicon bracelets will also be for sale for 2€.
