Careerology 101

This is a 2h workshop dedicated to introducing students, fresh undergrads & alumni to the Careerology101 approach. It’s “just” 2h, however participants will get real value helping them with their career plans.

PLANNED AGENDA

• INTRO by Danielle Savage, Careers Director – Why did we invite Jay to talk and why an approach like Careerology101 makes sense for AUP students 
• The importance of Specialized Knowledge and defining/understanding who you really are : Including Jay’s story from AUP undergraduate to a Manager role in 7months
• Carving your Professional Radar PRM: What is your passion? and should you follow it? Each student will discover what industry/market sector and what job type they are intrinsically built for
• 3 of the 7 Key points of the Desirable Knowledge Worker: Understand from an Employer’s perspective how candidates are really assessed and selected
• 3 of the 7 usual mistakes when looking for a job: Breaking several job hunting-good-practice myths and telling you what you should really do!
• How to maximize your ROI for the time & money you dedicate to getting a degree: The basics of what each student can start doing right away to exploit available University resources and become a valuable professional while still in college.

VALUE TO PARTICIPANTS

From past experiences, this workshop alone is quite an eye opener for most students who start understanding what it really takes to be successful on their own terms. At the end of the workshop, each participant leaves with a personalized Professional Radar Map. Moreover, the participants see a brand new and more empowering perspective on defining & achieving their career goals; whether they are preparing to launch their career, or whether they need to re-launch it. The participants' paradigm about getting a degree and launching a successful career is substantially altered.

At the end of the FREE Workshop, Jay will also introduce the 2-DAY Transformation Training and explain the opportunity it represents for those who wish to invest in themselves to become the best Professional Version of themselves in record time and potentially nail a dream job while still in college (or, for those who are already working, while still in their current job).
