Intergenerational Mentoring: How to find my support system and encouragement during Covid and beyond

Organized by The Wells International Foundation and The American University of Paris

As attendees at this evening of reflection, you will explore the challenges and questions about your current lives as students and your future career paths.

During the event, you will define personal challenges with vision and intention which is the first step to identify your purpose and incorporate your values in establishing goals and objectives.

The mini mastermind breakout groups offer you the opportunity to experience intergenerational mentoring and receive input and advice from the inspiring panelists.

 

Speakers

Keshia Dupros

"Passionate about Africa, Keshia has a strong expertise in digital marketing and various organizations (such as Women in Africa Initiative, Jeune Afrique Media Group, Women Working for Change, Club Efficience) to foster bridges between Africa and its diaspora. Since 2017 she has been interacting in the panafrican ecosystem between Europe and the continent. Indeed, she has made connection with business leaders, influencers, policy makers, ambassadors, CEOs during several moments where she could engage in networking, high-level panels, workshops, gala dinners. She was also a speaker at the Virtual Summit “Women in Marketing” (April 2020) and the Virtual Business Summit Weiji Kaizen : First female entrepreneurial Rebound Peak (July 2020). "

 

Mary McLean Evans

Mary McLean Evans joined AUP in September 2017 as Vice President for Presidential Initiatives. Working closely with President Celeste Schenck, Mary is based in the United States and is charged with the strategic direction of outreach and advancement programs for the University, including significant efforts to raise capital support for AUP. A graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, Mary is no stranger to the liberal arts. For 30 years, she worked for her alma mater in alumni affairs and development, then most recently at Hamilton, she served as Assistant Vice President and Executive Director of Hamilton’s Career and Life Outcomes Center, where she implemented programs to engage alumni and parents in student career exploration and development, with special attention to encouraging students to engage early in mentorships, internships and other career-related experience. After Hamilton, Mary served as Managing Director of the Committee of 200, an invitation-only global membership organization for women business leaders. There, she directed a strategic planning process for the organization and its affiliated foundation in support of its mission to foster, celebrate and advance women’s leadership in business and to encourage young women beginning business careers.

 

Chizzy Igbokwe

Executive Communications Consultant | International Speaker | Global Career Specialist | Author | AUP Alum (MAGC ‘08 Grad Program)  

Whether speaking on stages around  the world, advising executives on their content strategy, or helping clients create a life they love abroad, the common thread is connection.  As a global connector and storyteller it’s common to find Chizzy cultivating deep connections worldwide, introducing two colleagues, recommending the best resources, and most of all deep diving into the hearts and minds of who she serves in order to produce powerful results and compelling content along the customer journey. Chizzy’s passion for exploring the world dates back to the age of 9. She has lived in 6 countries and has traveled to almost 30 countries. Her international experience has provided her with a global worldview and deep understanding of Global Communications.  She has over 13 years of marketing communications experience working with CEO’s, VP’s, and HR Executives leading messaging, positioning, and creating branded content for internal and external corporate communication campaigns  Chizzy has spoken on stages around the globe facilitating trainings at the US Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic, Procter & Gamble (Toronto, Canada), WeWork (Berlin, Germany) , NYU and more. Chizzy is the author of the upcoming book - My Country Code (A guide to help travel lovers decide which country to move to in an ever evolving world.)
