VIRTUAL EVENT

Lecture: Ambassador Muriel Domenach

Friday, January 28, 2022 - 18:00 to 19:30

In conjunction with the D.Rad comparative research project on radicalization trends and deradicalization policies in Europe and beyond, AUP’s Center for Critical Democracy Studies is delighted to present a lecture by Ambassador Muriel Domenach. The Ambassador will share her expertise in the field of security and national defense, in particular her work as the Secretary-General of the CIPDR. During her tenure, the CIPDR published a new National Plan for the Prevention of Radicalization, which included five objectives: to protect minds against radicalization, to complete the detection/prevention network, to understand and anticipate the evolution of radicalization, to professionalize the actors in the field, and to adapt the strategy of disengagement.

Ambassador Muriel Domenach is a graduate of Paris Institut of Political Sciences (Sciences Po), the College of Europe in Brugge and the French National School of Administration (ENA). She has served in the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as the Consul General of France in Istanbul, and the Interagency Committee for the Prevention of Crime and Radicalization. She is currently the Permanent Representative of the French Delegation to NATO in Brussels.
