Alumni and former students are invited to join the AUP DC Alumni Chapter to celebrate France's fête nationale.
We will meet at Lafayette Square's SE corner (Lafayette's statue) and take an approximately 1.5-hour, one-mile tour of Lafayette Square and the surrounding neighborhood, discussing the many connections between the District and our French allies. This private tour, led by Off the Mall Walking Tours highlights French connections from the Revolutionary War hero General Marquis de Lafayette to the original planner of our Nation's Capital Pierre L'Enfant. Space is limited so please sign up ASAP!
Our tour will conclude at the Opaline Bistro at 806 15th st NW where we'll continue the celebration with a casual drink. If you prefer to skip the tour, please meet us at the Opaline Bistro at 8:00 pm. Invite an AUP friend to join you!
