Curriculum

The Center for Critical Democracy Studies seeks to combine education with democratic experiments to pursue innovative pedagogical opportunities for students and faculty at AUP. Among the Center’s initiatives are the “Democracy Lab”  that provides a hands-on, design-thinking experimental space where students develop practical solutions to major challenges confronting our contemporary democracies; the Prison Education Workshop, which brings AUP students into a shared educational and creative space with people detained at La Santé prison in Paris; and student-focused collaborations with the Tocqueville Foundation.
