I love to go for walks with friends in the forests and parks just outside the city, like at Fontainebleau or Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Also, Parc de Sceaux has the most beautiful cherry blossoms (les cerisiers en fleurs) in the spring.
The expression du coup gets a lot of grief because it is widely used and its meaning has changed over time. It used to mean something like “as a sudden consequence” and now it’s used to mean something more like “so” or “therefore.” It’s extremely common in conversation in Paris, particularly among young people, so you will definitely hear it!
There is a little reading nook in the library with a cozy chair that faces out to the Seine. Our offices are in the Tour-Maubourg building, but I imagine that if I worked in the Quai I would try to sneak away to read a few pages with a view all the time.
