Toyotaka on rue Saint Dominique – can’t beat a Bento Box B – an Admission’s favourite!
You can’t beat a trip to the 18th. It’s so obviously still a separate village, despite being just 25 minutes from the center of town. You go for the Sacre Coeur of course, but the views, the narrow streets, the cafes and the atmosphere. It takes no effort to just drop off one of the main drags and find yourself in an entirely different city. Wonderful.
My "Global Explorer" moment is somewhat unusual. My Mom was the village librarian, and I was read to every night. She would organize books by themes and my most vivid memories were always of tales of faraway places of people doing ‘regular’ things in exotic settings. And that was it for me – that it might be possible to live not just in another village, but another country and make a life.
You can talk to anyone. It’s such a small and open community, there are none of the usual boundaries you see at other universities. You’re made to feel welcome by everyone.
