There were drag balls at the Magic City, a pleasure space on the Quai d’Orsay and the Rue de l’Université (right near where AUP is now), from 1900-1934. How are we remembering and forgetting this history, in the contemporary queer Ballroom scene and in the ways that Paris advertises itself now?
