Student Government

The Student Government Association (SGA) Executive Team includes the Undergraduate and Graduate Student Councils (USC and GSC), each with a President, Vice President, Communications Director and Social Director. An independent Treasurer, open to both graduate and undergraduate students, serves the entire SGA.

SGA Executives serve a one-year term.

The Senate includes representatives from each undergraduate department, year and graduate program, elected by the student body. Senators represent their constituents in meetings with faculty and administration and vote on key university issues, including the allocation of an annual student activities budget. SGA-mandated committees inform and mobilize students on campus to make a difference at AUP. Current committees include:

• Activities & Clubs Committee (ACC)
• Events Committee
• Executive Service Committee (ESC)
• Merchandise Committee
• Judiciary Committee

Committee members are appointed by members of SGA. While all AUP students are welcome to join a committee, one Senate Chair is appointed from Student Senate to each committee. If you’re interested in joining a committee, get in touch with SGA or attend an open meeting.
