Culture(s) de Mode

Culture(s) de Mode is a research network bringing together researchers and professionals working on fashion, textiles and crafts in France. It was created in 2018 with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the French Institute to develop research on fashion. Directed by Sophie Kurkdjian, it promotes, supports and encourages all initiatives on fashion cultures research in France.  

The more, the better! Culture(s) de Mode welcomes researchers, museum curators, archivists, designers, engineers, journalists, students... 

On the website of Culture(s) de Mode, you can find research tools on fashion cultures such as:

• a Map of textiles and clothes collections in French Museums
• a Map of French crafts and métiers d’art
• and two series of podcast on fashion scholars, designers and curators
