Personal Websites

Your website can take up to 200 MB.

IT Services do not offer professional services to create or design websites. If you can't create your website on your own, we can however guide you to online services to help you build a website there.

Your website will be online until your NetID is active. When your NetID is no longer active, ITS reserves the right to delete your website without any notice. You can also request the deletion of your website if your NetID is inactive by contacting us.

If your website needs to connect to a database, please contact us and we will set up a MariaDB database for you.

This can be due to several reasons. Please check the followings:

• Your files are uploaded in a folder named public_html. Check the proper spelling
• You need to upload an index file at the root of your website (ie. directly in the public_html folder). Accepted index files are index.html and index.php
• Check that you try to access your website with the proper URL (https://ac.aup.edu/YOUR_NETID, for example https://ac.aup.edu/a123456 for a student or https://ac.aup.edu/jsmith for a staff named John Smith)

If, after checking this, your site remains unreachable, please contact us to help you identify the problem.
