Internet Connectivity

AUP has, since 2009, been connected to the Internet via the Réseau Académique Parisien (RAP - Paris Academic Network) and RENATER, France’s National Research and Education Network (NREN). This network is dedicated to the community of teaching and research in Paris and provides ultra high-speed access to the Internet. Serving students, researchers, teachers and staff in the Education and Research community, RENATER offers a highly reliable and secure network simplifying collaboration and convergence in scientific and academic projects internationally.

RENATER provides two dedicated fibre-optic connections: one connection to each of our two network hubs each of which is connected to a separate RENATER Point of Presence (POP).

In April 2023, AUP obtained an additional WAN connection in case of failure of our main link with Renater.
