Flavien Kiefer acquired a PhD in Theoretical physics in 2012. His current area of research is extra-solar planets. He is looking for exoplanets, exocomets, and brown dwarfs, to explain how exoplanetary systems form and evolve over tens of millions of years. One of the central questions is: why is the solar system as we know it, and why are other known extra-solar systems so different from our own?
